Hello everyone, I have a very irratiting problem with my dboys kar98, first of all, the saftey doesnt work. But thats not the irritating part, when I try to push the bolt forward, the little teeth things on the bottem of the black safety thing moves and swivels so it wont fit into the grooves. Also the black saftey thingy swivels at a 360 degree angle, can anyone help, I have some pics, but if therir not of the right thing, tell me and Ill take more I really dont want to have to send this gun back. THIS IS AS FAR AS THE SAFTEY LEVER GOES THESE ARE WHAT I MEAN BY TEETH THINGS

i think what you need to do is take the bolt all the way out of the gun, and screw the whole safety assembly onto the gun some more. It may take a little effort as the little pins that push into the bolt will get in the way, use a knife to push them back in. That is what happened with mine. Does that make sense?

Kind of... where are the screws your talking about, I cant find any. And do you want me to take the black saftey chunk off completely?
edit: and thanks for replying.

The screws are on the back of the bolt where the safety is.

what i mean is that the whole safety assembly is threaded, so you have to screw it on more. I said take the bolt assembly out as then it is easier to screw it on. So instead of taking the black safety thing off, screw it the other way. And the little pins may or may not be a problem, they are the ones that click when you rotate the bolt up or down to cock the gun.

Sorry for the slow response, but once you have the bolt, grab the bolt assembly in one hand, the safety assembly (with safety off) in the other hand, and screw them in opposite directions. You will have either: screwed off the safety, or screwed it on all the way. You want to screw it on all the way. If it gets tough, don't force it, look on the end of the safety, there might be little spring loaded pins jammed onto the bolt. Use a knife to push them back into the safety. Once you screwed it all the way tight, back it off enough that the safety lines up with the safety slot.
