I am new to WW2 airsoft, and before getting all of my gear ready, and choosing a nationality, I want to a possible weapon choice to base my impression around. I know that I could always go with one of those m1 garand conversions, or thompsons, or mp-40s, but I would much rather have a bolt action rifle, something like a Kar98k, M1903, or a Mosin Nagant, just so I don't seem like some noob running around with some full auto bb hose spraying down the entire field. The only problem is is that I can't find a complete, detailed tutorial on how to convert something like a VSR 10 to one of these rifles. I simply just don't know what parts I need to buy besides the stock. If someone could give me a link to a tutorial, or even just a list of parts that I would need to make a conversion from a VSR-10 to lets say a Kar98k then it would be greatly appreciated, and if possible it would be even more appreciated if I could be linked to sites that sell these parts. Thanks

Do NOT go to airsharp! We have had several people on the boards recently order custom stuff from him and even after several (I think it was 6) months they still have not received anything.

I think the most complete tutorial you're likely to find is under the Springfield conversion. Though specific to the Springfield the process is virtually the same with a Kar 98 or Mosin Nagant etc. If following along in the pictures and explanations you don't think it's clear enough for you to take on your project you really should reconsider if you even want to attempt this. The conversions aren't hard they just take some thought, some careful alignments transfering the VSR components into your actual base stock. After that with reasonable tools and quite a bit of time most everyone should be able to do it. (A drill, a saw, a file, some sand paper and a dremel along with screw drivers, stains etc. are all you need.) Follow that complete thread and if you're still confused or unsure. Call your mother, cause we're not going to breast feed you.
