My TM Thompson is starting to double fire in semi auto. I haven't taken the gun apart yet, but the cut off lever is the usual suspect. I looked around and can not find any place that sells them (in case I need one). As a matter of fact, I read on a couple of forums that they are simply not available. I even tried looking for a P90 piece, since they are both version 6 (don't even know if they are the same).
Does anyone know of a place that sells a TM Thompson (ver 6) cut off lever?
Thanks in advance.

Its probably just the cut off lever spring that needs to be replaced, if you pull apart a standard lighter (bic if you have them over there) the spring from that can be cut down to fit.

Bob if all attempts fail you could go to Kawpoee and get a broken Thompson for parts

Thanks for the replies. It stopped double firing on semi. I'm going to leave it alone for now. If it it starts again I'll examine it and maybe try the spring fix.

The double firing is a symptom of high amp batteries. Marui engineered the v6 gearbox to run off an 8.4v at 10 amps. You start experiencing the overspin effect when using high output 8.4v or 9.6v 30-35 amp batteries. I have even seen 3 round bursts on semi when using systema magnum motors and lipo batteries on a v6 gearbox.
The theory behind the v6 double firing is the length of the stroke the semi auto cutoff makes. Which is x6 times greater than that of a semi-auto cutoff lever of a v2 or v3 box because of it's length.

Interesting. I have to see if double fires more when the battery is newly charged. Thanks.
