It's time to start "THE LIST" of those currently planning on attending along with the number of guests (Partisan or Hiwi). Interest in the event is very high and we expect very good turn-out. Unfortunately most of the banter/planning is going on over at the private MOA forum and doesn't build buzz on these forums Please contact me with additional guests, additions, deletions, etc. The numbers aren't astronomical yet (28), but the out-of-state folks have not yet firmed up plans and others will pop out of the woodwork in the coming weeks (as always). Russians: Gryphon Boris Ivan Belka Lev Andre Timofej Oleg Partisans: Adam Robin Josh Americans: Tom Alex Chadwick Red Leader Timmer 3 PZGR: Garrick Wolfgang Franz K Otto Paul Alban Dietrich Ritter Other German Elements: Travis Sir V Richard Baum J. Pieper Fadedcorona Thanks! -Lev

No you do not need to be part of a unit to participate. Are you axis or allied?

Not a problem. All are welcome. This hobby isn't big enough to be getting too anal about theater, year of the war, etc.
Shall I put you on the list of attendees?

what does this field have against 15-year olds It's a non-starter to argue the 16 year old age restriction. I truly am sorry, but it's not something under our control but is dictated by the field owner. Sorry.

Weather Report: Friday June 19: Scattered Thundershowers 78 Degrees with 50% chance of Rain
Saturday June 20: Mostly Sunny 88 Degrees with 10% chance of Rain.
Weather looks nice. If you are planning on period camping, you may want to bring a modern tent to pitch in the parking area just in case of heavy rain Friday night (this is a lesson I learned the hard way at Migano Gap last year). For the event on Saturday, plenty of water will be provided on field in designated safe areas (screen tents away from the fighting).
This area is on the Elk river, bug spray is highly recommended.
The field will be open for arrivals at 4pm Friday

Weather you may want to bring a modern tent to pitch in the parking area just in case of heavy rain Friday night (this is a lesson I learned the hard way at Migano Gap last year). what?? modern tent?? sacrilege! I've never had problems using my pup tent in the rain/snow as long as you properly treat your tent with water proofing stuff, dont ask me whats its called, but you can get the stuff at any store that sells camping supplies. There is some canvas friendly water proofing stuff you can buy.

@ Cpl mills: I believe what you're referring to is Nikwax... I'll be picking some up on Friday to treat my Zelt.
The reason I suggested modern tents for the parking area is that some folks may not have totally weather-proofed their period camp stuff and there is a moderate chance of thunderstorms on Friday. Hopefully not during the 4-8pm time when people will be showing up.

Achtung! The event is nearly here!
I thought I'd give folks some instructions upon arrival, if you are arriving Saturday Morning, make sure you have enough time to get through all of the steps below prior to the 8am safety briefing:
1. After parking your car, proceed directly to the registration table to pay and sign in and sign the waiver. Registration Fee is $30
2. Bring all guns you are planning on using to the Chrono Station. DO NOT LOAD YOUR GUN! We will have .2 gram BBs to Chrono all guns. Take some of our BBs and load enough into a mag for us to Chrono your gun. Once we Chrono your gun, a zip tie will be put on the trigger guard to indicate that it is legal. Guns Chronoing over 500fps will not be allowed. Players caught using a gun that has not been chrono'd (no zip tie) will have the gun taken away and will be forced to sit out 30 minutes until their next reinsertion.
3. Return to the registration table to get your free kill rag. Kill rags will only be handed out after you have Chrono'd your guns.
4. If you bought any BBs from me, you can also pick those up at the Registration table.
5. Gear up for battle... bring everything you need for the day, it will be hot and a long walk back to the parking area. Water will be provided on field for all players. We are encouraging people that arrive Friday night to get all their gear ready Friday, to give you some extra sack time Saturday morning.
Also, the Registration fee includes lunch, so make sure to bring your messkit with you when we deploy from the Parking area in the morning.
Lastly, the second order of BBs has arrived in time for those of you who asked. However, due to an unexpected volume of requests for BBs, I will only have 7k .25s available and around 4500 .20s This is a few thousand less than I had originally quoted. These remaining BBs will be sold on a first come, first served basis. For those of you coming from Wisconsin on 94, I'd suggest stopping at Fleet Farm in Hudson, they sell some cheap .2g bios for $9 per 2500. I hope I do not run out of BBs but if I do, I sincerely apologize, I seriously underestimated demand.
Please PM me with any questions.

just to think, right now everyones waking up and fighting, and i'm stuck here in iowa because i'm 15, i wonder whats happening, if the PAK is blasting the Russians, or if the kubelwagen is transporting soldiers to kill russians, while the russians use their standard "throw enough people their way and they'll break down eventually" tactic. my idea of how its happening red = axis blue = allies green = axis victory yellow = allied victory
