I found a WW2 tanker helmet in a large size along with bib coveralls, a tanker jacket and an M43 with tanker patches at a thrift shop. The helmet and clothing items were all in great shape. The helmet cost me 12.00 while the coveralls were 7.00 and the jackets were 5.00 each.
I cruise through a series of thrift shops every week if I'm in town and over the years it has proven extremely beneficial. I also had a neighbor who saw my WW2 Jeep and asked if I would be interested in a WW2 dated tent. I said sure. He described it as a pup tent and asked what it would be worth. He said he thought his father stole it from the Army. (which he probably did) Thinking it was shelter half I said maybe $50.00 or so. What he had was a two man 1942 dated absolutely unissued Officers wall tent. I explained that it was worth more than $50.00 but he said that's okay I'm just tired of having it in my garage.
I absolutely love the tent and have used it extensively since acquiring it. There is one identical to it in the lobby of the D-Day museum. I have no idea what the actual value is but feel like that was a steal. I see where I could buy a replica for $1,795.00 plus shipping from a movie set company.

I just got myself an AGM mp 44 for around 97 USD. It was at the bottom of a stack of sale items in a wholesale shop. I guess no one bought it because no one knew what it was.
