Ok, well our previous group and impression plans never really took off but now we have a pretty good chance.
Anyway some of us have been looking into doing a 5th SS impression, and would like some help on the outfitting.
(Sorry if the listing is annoying but it seemed easier to me)
M40 helmet - from "m35helmet.com"
m43 tunic - from "ATF"
m43 trousers - from "ATF"
jack boots - (most likely east german to start off, unless I cant find the right sizes)
standard belt and buckle - probably from "military tour"
y-straps - from "military tour"
k98 pouches - from "IMAUSA"
bread bag, canteen, ect. will come later on.
I am planning on buying a few of the helmets soon to start us off, then the rest of the uniform. Please feel free to correct me (I am almost sure there will be corrections). If you wish to post about the shops mentioned above, go ahead.
Thank you.

thank you, you wouldn't happen to remember how long it took your y-straps to get here from Canada would you? We aren't in any rush but I have ordered from Canada before and things ran into several delays.

My last experience with Military Tour was not as good as my first few transactions. But overall, I have been very pleased. I've been dealing with them for three years and have only had one issue that was eventualy resolved succesfully. They normaly deliver in two to three weeks after payment but my last purchase went missing for over a month. They finally sent me another set of Y-Straps and they are excellent.

Thank you both for your input, This will hopefully be my last set of questions before I start purchasing items.
- Does anyone know if IMA's K98 pouches are good? I have read the reviews which please me but I would like some info from people I can easily contact.
- Does helmet color really matter for 1940 - 1945? While looking on "m35helmet.com" they sell their helmets in 3 colors "green, gray, and black". I was leaning toward gray but if green will look more the part, I can live with that.
Last but not least - Where would you recommend buying a uniform from? I was looking at "Hessen antique" but from the reviews I have read I would like to know other options (yes I already know of ATF, and Grigsby). "Grigsby's" uniforms look great but I do not have $200 for a tunic. "ATF" is looking more favorable price wise but I would like to hear what you have to say.
Thank you
