Looks like it was discontinued before it was released to the masses. I guess that's that.

Looks like it was discontinued before it was released to the masses. I guess that's that. I got a similar reply, when I e-mailed them asking about their Sten Gun! I mentioned interest in the MG34 as well. I too voluntered to try out their MG34 as well as their new 88, Tiger Tank and Stuka Dive Bomber........Here's what they said: Hi Peter,we are so glad to received your e-mail,thank you for your warm-heart!don't worry,we will continue produce STEN MK II until you don't love it anymoreand we also trust so many people love this gun.cause MG34 is a limited production,we stop producing, but for STEN ,this is a high quality production. The first batch of cargo will be sold on 20th MARCH,at that time,i will tell you where u can buy it.thank you all! sorry, our vivaarms e-mail box can't response you,i try many times, sorry! phoebe vivaarms PS: forgive my poor english PPS:The 88, Tiger Tank and Stuka will be delivered to you once we launch our new Bismark and U-Boat!

I wrote to express my appreciation for their WW2 releases and Phoebe likewise responded with the comment "Stay tuned for more great news."

Wait a minute, discontinued? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over!?! Did anyone, anyone ANYWHERE, see or even HEAR of one of the '34's for sale? Sorry guys, but I gotta call BULL***T on that explanation. I think they built a prototype, and that's it! I for one don't consider R&D to be "production". Their picture of the 34's in a row was probably photoshopped, that's my theory. And VIVA ain't gettin' any of my money until I hear of even ONE consumer with his hands on one of the "limited production". I despise getting jerked around! Sorry for the rant guys, but this kind of crap really jades me.

Welcome to the world of WW2 airsoft. Get used to it (unfortunately) Did you ever get all your stuff for your .50 Cal? One drama like that is probably enough for any one player.

if they have a working prototype and the interest in the airsoft community is very high for a working affordable MG34, then I just can`t understand why they would release pictures last year and now a video if they never planned to make one. Really hope they change their mind...

Guys. They obviously discovered what the challenges and costs are with producing them vs. what they think the market price needs to be and determined that the business case doesn't work. Production of any airsoft gun is quite involved, extremely expensive from a set up perspective and when you're looking at a limited volume item, sometimes it simply doesn't work. Add to the formula a questionable economic situation and the risk probably looked too great.
It's importatnt that the MP44 do very well along with the Sten and the companies continue to enjoy success with the CYMA Thompson and MP40 This will encourage others to recognize potential and take the substantial risks involved.

What I can't handle is smoke up my . . .! I don't trust companies that do that. It does not encourage me to try their other products. What it does do is encourage me to look to their competition. Helllooooo AGM! ;D

An issue we continue to overlook is that they just might not have been able to bribe the right people they need to conduct business. It seems to be too complicated to be a scam to no apparent purpose, but I've been wrong before.

I did see this thing in photos at an event. Drats, I can't find the link but I was surfing and came across a kid overseas (Europe?) that had one he was using and he reported on its quality etc. So at least one made it to a customer. Maybe more will.

I emailed the website in Ireland who sold that MG34 to see if they had any more and their response was- "There were a few quality issues so the factory has stopped production until they are sorted."
Maybe Viva decided to throw in the towel on these.

We get used to our Western-centric viewpoints thinking that if a product is going to be successful its got to make it in the US or Europe, and that ladies, is no longer true. Slainte!
