Went to get a couple of AK batteries at Hong Kong's airsoft district and talked to a salesman who told me the local Thompson clone supply has dreid up due to problems at the factory. Does anyone know details ??

I am with waffenbruder, i have been hearing reports of most Chinese factories being raided. The one thing i wonder about is the fact that there seems to be no event that would cause this (unlike the olympics for example)

China is celebrating their 60th Aniversary of being Red. Typical of China, they go to extremes and quite paranoid, remember the Olympics? Getting a Visa then was near impossible even for buisness guys like me who even live in Hong Kong and do buisness in China. However they did catch some guy yesterday who had converted a starter pistol into .22 so maybe they have some reason for it.
Note: Owning Airsoft or real guns is illegal in China but Airsoft and real gun manufacturing is allowed with permission. The Chinese (Norinko) still make the AK, M14, M4/M16 clones and other copies for export. Don't be fooled to think they shut down a buisness in a raid because it was illegal as all buisnesses in China have some sort of Goverment ownership. If they shut down a factory it's because it suits their needs at that moment ... They are still Commies afterall
It will all die down soon unless you are a Mexican then you would be holed up for 7 days because they think all Mexicans have H1N1.
Hmph...China... don't try and figure them out... just go with the flow.

Yeah I've been trying to get my hands on an M14 for a while but they haven't been on the market in forever.
