i've been searching on the web and i've gotten good and bad feedback about it. can anyone tell me how it preforms in general

Well I have my Walnut EXPORT version on the way from Tiwan at moment.
I intend only running it on Green.
Although this is the Export version, apparently it is just a prone to failure as the old M1.
I will be spending about $200 upgrading the internals (part 45 etc) and after that Im red Gas ready apparently.
I will be posting here as soon as she arrives and will keep posted about reliability of upgraded internals.
Buy it- expect it to fail within 1000 rounds.
Buy it, and upgrade it= a world of Garand joy hopefully.
I had same experiance with my WA M4,bought it, it soon broke. have spent maybe $250 upgrading now I run it on red gas with 140% spring and its awsome and reliable:)
Im hoping for same pattern with Garand....

Yes, from my experience it is a good gun, but only with upgrade and good care. Original parts are too weak.
