Hey all. I've seen a lot of posts on this forum of people wanting a marushin GBB Thompson. Sadly, I do not have one (sorry to dissapoint you) , but I have a very possible idea for one. Hear me out: Marushin makes a GBB MP40. Someone could convert that into a Thompson. I'm not sure how hard that would be, but it's possible. Give me some thoughts on the idea (I won't be attempting)...

actually the upper reciever is just a box like the real one. just take out the junky rear sight box in the back and make a new one peice rear sight. then you could just take an aluminum box and add the blow back system to the bolt stem the we mag fits in the thompson mag alright. a steel trigger system could be added and the pistol grip filled in with resin? i dunno just a theory. i might get a broken cyma thompson and give it a try!

Why use a pistol, thats not already full auto. you would get about 10 shots and thats it. the MP40 Idea isnt bad, just unrealistic. to many parts that wouldn't fit. Besides, gas sucks, electric is the way to go.

well i always thought the WE's were simple. and because ive got a spare broken WE 1911 im trying to find out what to do with the insides of it. remember only the hammer is limited to semi. if you attach something to hit the valve when it goes forward, it will blow back and keep shooting till' the trigger is released. again, just a theory.

well, also today i got my WE 1911 to shoot full auto reliably...on purpose. just modified the disconnector. maybey one of these will fit in a thompson, or what i was thinking, you could even have say a gbb 1919 a4? you could hook the charging handle to the slide of the pistol? i dunno just a thought (made mine full auto cause i ordered a kjw 1911 yesterday), sorry, im a gbb man

What about using a G18 - already has select-fire...
Though I should think a GBB, with the gas in the receiver, that could use standard mags would sell VERY well.

yeah, i was thinking having a big gas tank or room to fit a paintball-ish CO2 tank in the receiver just like a battery on an AEG. the smaller the pistol, the more gas can fit in the gun. what about the TM .45 detonics or 1911 commander model? it doesnt really have to be a 1911 but the glock 18 sounds like a good idea. i was thinking a big m249 mag could also be fitted in a .30 cal ammo can i have, with the base plate on the mag sawn short so you could feed the bbs through the bottom of the mag with a tube? i was also thinking of using an external rig adapter, on airsplat for a dollar, go to my local dingy paintball shop (no airsoft stores in north texas here ) and buy a tank that will fit in the back of the 1919 receiver?

well, i could post a video on my youtube channel. its not too hard but if you dont have a spare hammer and disconnector it will be full auto untill you buy new parts. i happen to have spares so i can swap between semi and full (full auto for scaring friends )

If you want to post A video. I found one in russian or something and i can see what he is doing but i cant understand him.
Would it be possible to make it select fire like with a switch?
Also I have a broken KWC S&W 40F (that im trying to fix hint: its not going well at all) could i make that full auto instead of the 1911
If you havent noticed i dont know much about GBBs.

well, the disconnector, on the right side of the frame (in the back) of your 1911 will have a sliver button. thats the disconnector. dissasemble your frame and take that peice out (looks similar to that of the real one) and sand down the part that pokes through the frame. then look at the barb on the back of it, and chop that off with some wire cutters and sand it smooth. then all you need to do is take your hammer and sand down that part that would sometimes get caught on the slide (so it wont lock there when shooting super fast), and your done! just reassemble. once my camera charges ill make a video.

no problem! a video is uploading to my channel as we speak. should be on there in a few hours. i hope your 1911 works out. its a truley awesome mod, even though mine jams 'cause its a WE. also the higher capacity mags in the kjw i bet will be more fun than the WE!!

There have been some very interesting tutorials on Youtube that show you how to mod the bolt by tying it to a string on a rod connected to the spring guide.
