Do the HBT's run into the leggings like that? Hmm...learn something everyday, if so, I've really only seen them over the leggings....

Actually if the Haversack was full of something it would appear higher up although I think the straps could be shortened up. You look very good indeed however. Wear the right color T shirt (White or OD) get a first aid pouch, smudge the unfiform and your face a bit and you're ready for the stitch Nazi thread! Nice job!

1. The jacket: I bought it from Capt. Zak. (Very nice and very inexpensive 2. The haversack: normally I would wear it higher, I was in a hurry to get the photo op because my camera person was rather pressed for time. 3. If I wore the leggings under the HBT's they would be on my bear legs and that would be rather silly I think. I could be wrong but that doesn't sound right. Unless, you wore the wool pants under the HBT's but, that doesn't seem right either.

Looking good there, M14. Is your helmet swivel, fixed or D bale? If it's swivel or fixed, I'd definetly get a M2 D bale. Swivel or fixed was only found on the M1C, which wasn't present in the ETO until very very VERY late 1944. I'd sugest getting a holster too. I've noticed that your 1911 from the earlier photos is the same as mine, I have a thread on how to convert it into an M1911 if you are interested. Other than that get a period weapon and a hair cut and you're ready for the "Stitch Not-see" thread.

Ya, i plan on saving up some money, to buy one of those converison kits i have heard about. Also my helmet in that picture is a Vietnam swivel but i plan on buying a ww2 swivel off a guy i know and having Jmurray convert it to a D-bale for me. This will never be ready for the stich-not-see thread, I find my self tweaking an think.. that its never right lol. Once i get it all nit picked it prob will, and after Grossman sucking last night, I won 100 bucks cause he couldnt friggen score ( I am a bears fan lol) So now i got some more money for reenacting :-] -Cary

29th, how do you figure that is a marine corps E-Tool cover? The only t-handle cover the USMC had made to their specs, that I am aware of, was the paramarine camo cover. They used almost exclusively m-1910 and m-1912 usarmy t-handle covers.

I am not for sure. I was using atthefront as resource so I could be wrong. But the reason is because the marine shovel covers had no U.S. on them and neither did his. I could be wrong though.

*Mod Warning* I deleted 10+ useless posts in this thread that were one line each, contained no pictures and represented time that each of us that read them will never get back- It's been said before, it's time to say it again Either post a photo or thank those that have, but other than that keep arguments and comments out of the picture threads.

Is that how you are supposed to carry it on the sling? There's no "rule" on how you carry a weapon in the field. It's your own personal choice. I just put it around his left shoulder like that for high visibility.
