Okay, this project took me a month to make. I used the same wood which I usually get from Laguna (Philippines) for my wood projects. Prepped and stained in red oak from our local hardware store. I used a BAR 10 for the project. And just gathered ideas from 2nd Bat. I always had a fondness with old rifles, so I thought of doing a M1903A4 as seen above. I choose to make the ‘C’ Type Stock with pistol grip opposed to the regular ‘S’ Type stock as seen below, for its ergonomical design. At the time, I did not take step by step how to pictures with the wood stock. But here were the available pictures that I have in file: Here is the rifle with out the stain: I had the metal parts made for me, while I was carving out the wood for the BAR10. Here is the rifle with the red oak stain: I used a butt plate of a cannibalized M16 butt. Close up of the ‘C’ Stock pistol grip: Finished product: Next project will be a T26 (popularly known as the Tanker Garand) Enjoy troops, and a special thanks to 2nd Bat for this project.

My BAR10 conversion to a 1903A4 worked well in our ‘Operation Overlord’ last August 9th here in the Philippines. It handled well during our skirmish and another thing which I liked is, I did not have to worry about battery drain in the field. Some more pictures with the 1903A4.

Well done Masterchief! That red oak stain came out perfectly, really like its character.

I love it! Nice and simple. Great job on this one. I LOVE the 1903, and if I made one, hopefully it would turn out like that. What was the total cost?

Great job masterchief! I can't wait to see it finished. You amaze me the way you can make these WWII weapons from scratch with no original parts.

@ guitarmaster
With the trigger guard I took it off during the field testing so that I could have my finger on the trigger. I do that usually with springers.
@ sgttom & CorporalKitten
Thanks, I try to keep it simple. Since I do not have equipment for cutting, I have the wood cut when I buy it. I just pay them extra for the cutting.
