The term noob is actually derogatory, the correct term is Newbie. This of course means someone who is new to the hobby
Glider are the troops who assault via glider and airborne came by silk (Parachute). US Glider troops wore standard GI uniforms and equipment while Airborne wore the airborne jumpsuit and boots. So when someone says "Glider" gear, they mean standard leg GI Vs. Jumpsuits and gear.
