Well, I went airsofting the other day with maybe two or three other world war 2 players and one Vietnam player. We made up about 25% of everybody their. Then everybody else was modern or WTF. So that has left me wondering how many of you all play at Fields for world war 2 airsoft, if your Vietnam then Vietnam airsoft, or just Fields for anybody who wants to play. In other words do you go to non-impression Fields or impression Fields?

I go to modern/random games all the time in full ww2 gear. It started out I just wanted to do a ww2 impression for modern airsoft games... then people started getting interested in doing ww2 impressions and it just grew from there.

Going to modern and normal airsoft games in your loadouts (impression) are the best way to gain interest and members. Hairy started out with just him in M42's and his g/f in Frogskin. A few of us who had experience in reenacting or just had interest, started impressions. The group of 2 became 3, then 4 not it is 10. When you have a group of 10 people in matching gear and equipment at a game, working together others get interested.

I started out doing a Modern German Para impression.
I didn't like how the Modern games were run and wanted to get into a little more MILSIM and Scenario play... WW2 Airsoft offered that aspect and I love it.
As per you question… given the choice I will always choose a WW2/vienam emissive scenario event; over the run and gun modern games. When the option isn’t available I’ll be out in WW2 gear with the modern guys wherever and whenever allowed.
