Amazing, first news I've heard on any of those rifles. I won't think much of it but its something at least!

Woah! Chinese airsoft companies taking their own initiative and making their own models?... or are they just copying the Marushin M1 and the KTW Mosin and Enfield? In either case a cheaper Mosin and Enfield would be perfect. The only thing wrong with said KTW models was the price.
Hmm, maybe they can copy the KTW Type-96 next (and not make it over $3,000). Or the Arisaka.
And holy crap these things better not be shell loaded.

I don't really care what they are as long as they are reasonably priced. Even if its a shell ejecting it will give us cheap parts for conversions. Of course I'd rather see something skirmishable.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed but DO NOT hold your breath. If this is the initial rumor (There have been many many already) and there is any truth to it at all expect to see the first offering whatever it might be in about 18 months. Arrrrrrrrggggggggg!

I tend to agree, but DG1 is a retailer with direct communication with China and he`s a member of the UK ww2 forum. I have a suspicion that the modifications to the AGM Sten were a direct result of player feedback on the forum regarding the lipo not being the battery of choice, so it would seem that someone is reading what players want and putting things into motion.....hopefully

Let's all save up and fly to China and buy the factories so we can produce ww2 weapons

That would be cool. I personally can't wait to see if they release more news on the subject, see what their plans are. I think we could be seeing this next summer or fall at the earliest. Then again, we don't even know if it will happen. I know I would pick one up.

The Garand would by far be the most impactual and undoubtedly the most successful model to make in terms of a positive impact on ww2 Airsoft. An affordable AEG carbine and BAR should be next.
Unfortunaltely these rumors have literally been bouncing around for years. Let's hope at long last there is something to them.

I'm still waiting for someone to make an affordable, top loading Garand, the hoals MORE than 8 rounds, and ejects the clip with a PING! noise. For me his is one of the most important features or a garand.

I was thinking maybe the clip comes out and stops at the top of the bolt, so it won't go out and fall on the ground

As long as it makes the ping, it doesn't matter how far the clip goes out to me.

I don't really see how a top loading AEG would be possible especially from AGM as they seem to use pretty much the same kind of gearboxes. If AGM is making one I am not worried about the quality. If its anything like their other AEG's it will be great.

It would be best in my opinion if a high quality, innovative company such as Tokyo Marui were to make one. I'm pretty confident they could make a new version gearbox and everything to work great. I understand it would be expensive but no more than a custom gun, probably less, and before long the Chinese companies will have cloned it.
Just my honest opinion.

Given the climate of cloning it makes no sense for Tokyo Marui to build anything new or innovative since the cloners will reverse engineer long before TM will be able to earn back their Research and Development Cost...A top loading set up with a ejecting clip would be extremely out of thje box and not likely to happen. Given their penchant for authenticity I suspect this is the reason they haven't chosen to do a Garand AEG.
The Chinese simply go where the market is and follow the dollars. If they can be convinced that they would sell enough of them to recoup their start up costs (In the 10s of thousands of dollars) and be able to sustain sales long enough to profit through it they'll make a Garand, otherwise not. Keep in mind they have to recoup their start up costs before a competitor rips it off and copies it (another fear) Currently there are at least eight companies making and selling M14s. I would think if a cmpany had the Garand AEG market to themselves for a year to 18 months they'd be fine.

How popular is the M1 Garand outside the US? That will be a big factor in whether or not we ever see one.

I'm so glad theres even thought of the m1 garand among the airsoft manufacturers, because that seed will plant itself in their minds and eventually grow to a garand producing factory.

I don't know guys, the intel seems very sketchy and wishful thinking to me. It's like watching Monster Quest or UFO hunters. Is it true... or is it not? Unlike the MG42 where we have seen pictures this seems to be a long way down the road.

Just heard through the grapevine that the boss of AGM has been arrested and is in chokey. Looks like he didn`t get his bribes in on time to the powers that be. Hopefully it`ll sort itself out once the celebrations are finished over there.
