Just heard through the grapevine that the boss of AGM has been arrested and is in chokey. Looks like he didn`t get his bribes in on time to the powers that be. Hopefully it`ll sort itself out once the celebrations are finished over there. OH SH##!

The Monster Quest analogy is a good one. Lots of hype and build up with no difinitive results. As for the popularity of the Garand outside the US, 60 percent of the 268 rifles I have built and sold have been overseas with most going to Europe. Keep in mind that this is with nothing significant in the way of marketing and a $560.00 to 1,000.00 price tag, lots of niggling infidelities, sight unseen by the ultimate buyers who had to wait for weeks and in some cases months to get their rifle.
There is absolutely a market for a quality, well done, reliable AEG Garand and it doesn't have to be top loading to sell. (At least for most) In fact I would encourage them to stay away from anything that will make it problematic, more expensive or less skirmishable as we have one already in the form of the Marushin.

Totally agree 2nd Bat, they could quite easily use the M14 as the base, different front end, shorter mags, lock it to semi auto only. Its been done in the UK as a custom jobby, just needs mass producing at a Chinese price.

I have to wonder with such a LARGE group of reenactors in Russia how many of them would jump at the chance to get a Garand. We have seen many photos of their events and they are HUGE!!! I'm sure many would like to do American impressions, we here have many, including myself, doing an Russian impressions. So it may go without saying the M1 Garand is very popular in Russia. I wonder if they would like M1919A4's

Why would collectors go for an airsoft MN when you can get a real one just as cheap?

I have sold many many Garand AEGs into the Eastern Block and know that if a more affordable version was available it would sell extremely well throughout the world. Russia is very big on reenacting the great patriotic war and depict Us forces frequently although as you might imagine depicting Russians is far more common. Like here they seem to have no problem coming up with Germans which is surprising to me given the invasion of their country and destruction the Wermacht wrought

We also have a lot more Germans than allies here, despite the occupation being regarded as wholly obnoxious, and a time never to be repeated if at all possible. I suppose it has something to do with the Wehrmacht being more interesting somehow.

I think more Russians do Russian because if they did German, they might be embarrassed of what others might say. I have no problem representing SOME of the Axis Force.

They are VERY BIG on their contribution to the war. I wish I'd been more knowledgeable about the topic back then I could remember more of my trip now.

I don't think my post right here is necessary but if whoever is reading this hasn't heard; ALL of the manufacturers in China have been shut down. Assuming that this rumor for an M1, Enfield, and Mosin all came from a chinese company (like AGM or Dboys), your hopes and dreams have probably just been crushed.

Unfortunately I think this rumor is in fact true. As I understand it (from a direct source in China) all the airsoft factories have been shut down pending a review and will remain closed for at least 3 months.

Once you think about it Russians dressing up as germans isn't really demoralizing to them or ther country, ya I know germans invaded Russia and killed ALOT of people but it really isn't diffrent than me dressing up as a taliban or mujahaden fighter.
Anyway did the AGM guys ever get out of the trap house?
