We all know that AGM and CYMA have been shut down, but what is the work on A&K? Every source that I find only mentions the first two, but they don't say a work about A&K. Does anybody know? What about this good news from Kalbs? Has anyone heard it yet?

I've read in places that they are all back on their feet but low on cash and lost a lot of molds. Take it with a grain of salt since I have no hard evidence but that's what I hear.

All this is second or third hand news. I agree that we should only count on one of our own for any info. Kalbs, he is in Hong Kong and is right on top of it. As one of us his news is good.

I wish I had good news to tell you but all the above is speculation. Please be aware Chinese New year starts Feb 14 and once again all factories in China shut down for two weeks. As soon as I see or hear otherwise I'll let you know

Though it may not be a WWII product, A&K's Masada, created jointly with Magpul, was thought to have been doomed because of the events in China; redwolf airsoft's news report expressed doubts that the model would ever see the light of day. However, just recently, European and Asian based retailers have been stocking their shelves with the A&K Masada; albeit, in very low quantity. Maybe this is a sign of hope for Chinese companies, or perhaps an exemption of A&K; though, again, the few Masada's that exist might just be alive due to the fact that they are shared with Magpul.
For evidence, please look at redwolf airsoft's china news and a few international retailers for the Masada; namely Airsoftglobal and Redwolfairsoft. Aside from that, I hope my word alone is trusted.

At one time and prior to the China shutdown, China airsoft suppliers used to list their goods on key buisiness trade sourcing web sites like made-in-china.com, Globalsources, tradekey and diytrade with page after page of manufactures and AEG's listed. Now you may find one or two and it's mostly bb's, batteries and accesories.
... but I like your hopeful thinking

the A&K M60VN has also been plentiful and in stock at retailers throughout the US. seems like a good sign to me as well.

i think there is, maybe because i'm hopelessly optimistic, but i still think we'll see a plentiful load of WW2 guns in 2010

In all this shutdown hubbub, remember one thing;
There is money to be made in airsoft, including WWII.
Don't underestimate the power of this fact.

Let's say WORST case secnario AGM, and CYMA are completly shutdown. First the companies, I presume would try to sell all of there guns in the Asian factories not to mention all of the guns already shipped in the U.S and Europe, and look around how many custom guns there are I am dead sure people would still have ww2 guns. Give or take fancy guns like mg34 or mg42, but m1 garands, KAR98K, etc. would still be in our hands.

You guys need to understand something. The gov in China is the squeek wheel and they just want it oiled. Money up front dudes! It's just a matter of time. Also the supply and demand thing. Huge supply and so is the demand, even if they have to grease the palms the price should remain about the same. It will be business and usual, give it time.
