I see where a Grease gun is going to be built by Ares. Not at the top of my list but definitely a gun I will buy if the price isn't too out of sight.

I'm sure they believe the Kar 98 is already addressed with the Marushin. D Boys and Tanaka and perhaps they foolishly think the Garand is handled by the gas blow back Marushin. One would think the Garand would be an obvious early offering but the length, weight and low ammo capacity is probably too universally unpopular for anyone to take on the development and production outlay given what they think would be small numbers. I think since it is such a historic and iconic rifle they'd be shocked at how well it would do. Sadly I still think it's a long way off. Maybe with the HBO series The Pacific? They'll rethink things.

I will say we need an M1 Garand more so then a Kar98. M1 Garand parts are more expensive for conversions then Kar98 parts especially with the cheap Dboys Kar98 out to use as parts. Also although the Tanaka Kar98 isn't especially affordable at least it performs well where as the Marushin Garands stinks.

We see this with all the predominantly full auot AEGs they're making for WW2. Sten,Thompson,MP-44,MP-44, BAR etc. The bolt action and rifle family is sadly represented with but ONE really skirmishable rifle, the Tanaka K98 and G33/40. And thats sad given ALL European armies at the time were armed with bolt action rifles. We also see airsofters making their own rifles with varying success, most times much more expensive then their real steel counterparts! All we can do is HOPE manufacturers her our plea's.

Maybe Dboys will come out with another bolt action rifle. The kar98 was supposed to be part of a WWII Series so maybe we'll see more. Shell ejecting Garand anyone?

That would really suck if they ultimately came out with a Garand and instead of making it more skirmishable came out with something that was less so. If that happens (and it wouldn't surprise me) they'd draw the wrong conclusion that a Garand won't sell. I really hope when ultimately do make a Garand (and eventually someone else besides Marushin) will I hope they do it right. It would really suck if in their usual way they simply came out with a clone of the unreliable and cumbersome Maruisn design.

If it was cheaper than the marushin m1 garand like 200 you could still use the parts to make a frankengarand.

CptJericho yes any WWII Airsoft weapon if its cheap, even if it doesn't work well is always good for conversions but like 2nd Bat said it wouldn't sell to well and would demotivate everyone else to attempt a better one in fear it would not sell enough. So yea do it right or don't do it at all.

>. Wow,that many huh?? LOL! As long as I've been doing WW2 blank fire,I've only been to ONE event where their were Italians involved, and that was in 1993. Decent looking unit, never seen them or any other Italian unit since. Unless I include a VERY VERY terrible Waffen SS Italian unit...

That's because you are on the East Coast man , lot's of really great Italian units on the West. The new unit i belong to is great , specially since about all of us can actually speak Italian which makes it even better and more realistic when you attack an enemy position and the commands are being yelled in Italian and not in English.

This may sound a bit hippie-ish I'm sure. But what if everybody took like 2minutes of their time en send an email with "make a g*dd*mn Garand Aeg" to the big producers out there. Sounds stupid, but If I would go to my work one morning and see 500 identical emails in my customer folder...

I sent mine to WE, and I'm about to send a request to G&G as well. G&G's website says the address for Americans to contact is 101techusa@gmail.com if anyone else is interested.

I sent emails to both WE and G&G, hopefully if enough of us do the same at least one of those companies will answer our rallying call for a decent GBB or AEG M1 Garand.
