Should we consider a possible site here in the USA for an international event? Where and when? What should we consider for anmentities? Maybe each of us interested should look into possible locations and submit proposals. Then the best one could be picked by the membership in a vote. We could take a page from the RS reenactors and have it a national event each year at a different location.

I think we should concentrate on getting a national event together before we branch out to international. Honestly some of the pictures and games I have seen from out of the states look awesome I don't know how we would draw them here.

Why would we do an international ww2 event in America when the war happened elsewhere? It seems like Western or Eastern Europe would be a better choice. Let's fight where the war actually happened

I have as a goal for 2010 to attend a large airsoft historical event outside the country. I think strong regional efforts that are well received will in and of themselves become recognized "brands" that will attract folks from around the country and even the world if the organization, quality and take away experience is worth the expense in dollars, time and travel.
At present there aren't enough quality regional events in my opinion.

Barry, theres a group of modern airsofters in canada that I have been talking to that are willing to set something up. If we can outfit them Im sure it would be a blast. We could arrange carpools

And Americans wonder why we're wearing out our welcome with the rest of the world... if you had put a after that statement I might have let it slide. Not that I have a problem with people thinking big and wanting to do a National/International event... but if we can't get guys from Chicago to drive to Wisconsin, what makes you think guys from Europe are going to fly to the US (or vice versa)?

Crappy battle, but we still get huge numbers.
And yes, some of us still believe this is the greatest Country in the World to live. No smiley faces needed! If thats being arrogant, so be it. I'm just proud.

This is a very good idea but would require a LOT of organization and planning. Might be a minimum of one or two years to setup someting like this

They have excellent fields in WI and MI I think. You guys just started using the one in December. I'm sure in a few games time they would be willing to drive down as long as everything is squared away.

Theres several fields in chicago and the surrounding suburbs that we have been using since the WW2AA was formed, but thats a different debate. The point Im trying to make is it doesnt matter where, as long as we link up a group of players that want to play WW2 airsoft WHO CARES?
