I am still looking for a suitable weapon for my British para kit, and the sten looks nice, but i would prefer the bolt action Enfield. I have seen a lot of bolt action conversions, but the only one of the Enfield i have seen is the S 'n' S version, which is a little out of my price range at 450 UK Pounds. From what i have seen a common conversion is to take a Bar-10 and strip it to the internals, then taking the real weapons parts and magically attaching them all together. So i was just wondering if anyone had any idea or had more detailed instructions on making an Enfield, and if they could share.
Thanks, Canning

Thanks a lot. The only problem i see is connecting the stock. Will have to think about this.

I don't know but what I think might be possible is to do a Gryphon shottie conversion for most world war 2 bolt action. So far I know these ones will work: Mosin Nagant Springfield...hmmmmmmmmmmm Arisaka Lee enfield

It has been done, I can't find the thread with the details but I know that it involved cutting off the top of the denix reciever so it could be replaced with the MP001/J-BAR 10 reciever, I also know that there's a lot of woodworking involved as the denix doesn't have a barrel so the handguards are solid wood which have to be cut away to take the barrel.

It'd be even cooler if you made the No. 5 Jungle Carbine

In my Springfield conversion I used VSR catch as well. But the problem is that in Enfield stock is not enough room in height to fit VSR parts. I read that somebody used velcro for it, for example.

Yea I heard about the guy who used velcro. He said you have to press the mag down when you cock the rifle or it won't feed. He also said though, it isn't much a problem because his hand rests there anyways.

Thank you! I choose your way. It seems to me that enfield 4 stock which I am working with is not regular. It has slightly different configuration.
