Not really , my wife loves this stuff to , she comes from a Military family , her Great Grandfather fought in WWI , her Grandfather in WWII , her dad in Vietnam , her mom was in the ARMY in the late '60s , early '70s, she has 3 brothers , one a Marine , one is retired NAVY who now works on repairing ships for the NAVY and her oldest brother was a SEAL. So yeah , she is fine with it.

I have a VERY similar collection.I collect helmets from WW1 to today. PLUS I have a major collection of every Warsaw Pact country's uniforms and I'm a HUGE East German Army collector. In addition I have all my reenacting and AS impressions, and all my current Army issue stuff. Add to that my collection of real steel arms from WW1-today. Not to mention my EXTENSIVE AS armory that I REALLY need to thin out! I'm just not as organized as Herr Adler!

Not Fair, thats intense.
I'm digging the world war 1 helms as well as the Vietnam helmets. So were any of those actually worn by you in service?

Not any of the helmets i have , i served in Argentina , we where not allowed to keep helmets , mainly because the new PASGT helmets where brand new to Argentina and not enough were around . I do have all my berets issued to me and one unofficial beret that almost got us in trouble once when we wore them out of base on a war game.

My bed rooms my war room, i have each corner decked out with different themes, ksk, marpat modern, Brit ww2, nam stuff. I really want to make some cases and display the stuff nicely. I want so mannequins to put web gear and fatigues on. I just love the look. Seeing how its a real drag outside after a foot and a half of snow then rain its just horrid I could use a good project. Alright I am done thinking via fourm...

The Mitchell cover with the winged cat on both sides is bad ass! What's the skinny on that if you would sir? It's a helmet from the 1/505 PIR , the first troopers from the 505th PIR that landed in Vietnam had their covers stenciled with the Winged Panther .
