You guys are doing a great diservice to those that try to promote WWII airsoft especially those of us that are Blank fire reenactors! By having these boards closed to public viewing you limit the amount of exposure we can dish out regarding events and WW2 airsoft in general! If I am directed to a link that I have to register for I will immediately navigate away from it, I just don't want to spend the time filling out info even if something peaks at my interest and I am sure that 90% of most will do the same. If I click on a link for an event and I like what I see let me decide whether or not I want to register. Let visitors be views only and not let them post if that is the issue. In a day and age when everybody and their Mothers have facebook pages or some form of networking page and many participate in group forums you guys should really reconsider making these pages open for public viewing. I myself have 30 or 40 friends on my facebook page that reenact WWII and this is one of the groups that we should be targeting WWII AIrsoft with! I have yet to introduce a reenacting friend to WWII airsoft that doesnt like it! If you dont want to make the entire boards public maybe you can make the event information and registration section open to public viewing. Please reconsider this! -Gerry

Unfortunatly Gerry the world is also full of spammers and a few bad apples who ruin things for others and have done so in the past on this board. Proboards.com, this baords service is not face book and does not provide the same options regarding security. Note however this board is considering starting a network page perhaps even on facebook. Stay tuned

The reason we have the boards closed is the amount of assclown spambots that trash up the boards when we leave it open is pretty large. It really is a PITA for us. We don't do it to discourage people in joining. We have discussed it several times in the mod section.
I have my own events webpage when I do a game. I am sure you guys could do the same even with a free webpage service. Then you can post games and AAR's and just link on here from there. I am even willing to help the 3-4 producers around here with this as I have coded many pages. I am not super duper graphic webpage designer but if you have no clue I can help you get started.
and to back up Kalbs. We are very interested in getting a facebook page started for this site. I hope that will help some.
