I just haven't had a chance to do much work on it lately. I pulled out the transfer case, and have the motor 90% ready to pull, but I haven't got much interesting stuff worth updating for. I'm just really busy lately getting the land cruiser ready for the Rubicon in June so it's been getting all my attention lately.

These projects takes time (as he is doing this on his free time and doesnt get paid for it), and by now I think hairy apple has done a great job. I hope you get the Dodge running at the end of the year

I hope you get the Dodge running at the end of the year Time and money. Time I have. Money, I do not. Honestly, I just have a lot of stuff to work on all the time. I just kind of rotate around and work on differant things until I get bored or frustrated or need parts that I can't afford. Right now, I need a lot of parts for the dodge that I just don't have the money to spend on it right now. Once I do I will buy parts and start working on it again. Spring is here and I have been working on my 4x4 and atvs getting ready for summer. In the fall or winter I'll get back to work on the dodge a lot harder.

There's nothing wrong with that. But good luck with your other projects.

I haven't had much time or money to work on it lately, but at least it's still very useful for doggy shade. He sleep under there all day when it's sunny. I'm working on selling some of the extra parts it came with to help fund it's repair. Hopefully I'll have a little extra money to get some new shiny parts soon.

But why are you pulling the engine? Seems like LA via Omaha.

I still want to put it on an engine stand and go through it a little better then I can while it's in the frame. It's not really not a big deal to get it out and it will just make working on it easier. I want to pull the whole drivetrain and replace seals, repaint, ect the transfer case and transmission. Replace the clutch as it's looking pretty nasty.

what parts are you selling. I need a gas can bracket and tailgate.

Don't have any extra tailgates, mine's actually pretty bent up. I don't think I have an extra gas can bracket either, I think I have 3.. and the wholes on the body for all of them.
Someone on ww2dodge.com asked if I'd sell the extra windshield frame, seat, and hood. None of those things are really something I need an extra of so I've got to figure out what they are worth.

My grampa has I think a '74 VW bus and a VW bug (he one with the small, small taillights), so I think he sorta has your pain, as to the wiring.

frack I hate 30 year old VW wiring. He he... I have a 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 350 Chevy engine. That was some fun wiring. The wires are all totally shot on the Dodge for sure. They just break in half if you look at them wrong. I'm going to a huge MV show tomorrow in Lodi. Should be pretty cool, I'm hopefully going to get some neat ideas on stuff I can do with mine. I guess they are going to have one of every model of military jeep from MB/GPW up until they were replaced by those AMC piles we use now.

windsheild frame in no rust condition is about 100 without glass or inner frame. With the inner frame with glass it jumps to about 300. The hoods look like they are going on ebay for about 100, and the seats i dont know. Are they the frames, the springs, both and are they the early high side or the later low side.

Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again." Looks like a Creedence Clearwater Revival Song that describes what Hairy Apple is going through lol

Ironic that Lodi is two hours from my house, and where the MV show was. Funny I can't drive through (never stopped there until this weekend) I can't help but think of that song.

"Stuck in Lodi again..."
Yeah, I think of that everytime I'm heading for the mountains on Highway 12 and pass through Lodi.

What is Lodi look like, believe it or not John Fogerty never went to Lodi when he made that song. He just thought it was a cool name.

A freeway and a few farms. Lots of cows. Pretty crappy, like most of the interior of CA.
