so i was taking apart my cyma thompson the other day to clean it for the first time and i made the mistake of not remembering where all the parts go yes noobish i know but i weathered down the abs stock to look more like real wood and i filled the abs pieces with kleenex so that it sounds like wood when you knock on it. i also removed the paint on the bolt plate so now its silver and not black. it makes it look a lot nicer, so theres a plus the only problem now is, ive got it back to where i have to put the butt of the gun back on and the 2 large screws i took out dont work all of a sudden. theres also a metal part that something is supposed to screw into that i have no idea where it came from. can anyone help me? i am a visual learner so a diagram or pictures of how to reassemble it would be really, really appreciated : ) i have found one link on another forum that shows how to disassemble both the cyma and tm versions but it isnt very detailed. thanks to anyone who can help ;D

I know EXACTLY what it is! I had to take apart my thompson to fix a simular problem, this piece you speak of was out of place, causing for one of the screws holding the stock to be loose, the whole stock was just not 'firm', and there was an annoying rattle of said piece jumping around in the gun while I fielded it.
ANWAYS, to start, I'm going to say that whilst I do believe we both encountered the same problem, mine was inside a Cybergun, not a CYMA. BUT, what I did, in step-by-step order: #1. Take out both screws in the stock of the gun #2. Push down on button directly behind where the stock meets the body, and move lower reciever back until you hear a click. #2. Get something thin (Allen Wrench) and push down on the same button by going through one of the 2 holes where the screws should be in the stock, and then slide back until the reciever comes off ENTIRELY. #3. locate 2 holes where the screw should go into (you are looking DOWN on the inside of the reciever, not UP and looking at the ouside) #4. Put said metal parts back in those 2 holes you found (In a position that makes sense...) #5. Get some form of tape and tape said metal pieces to the reciever WITHOUT covering the holes in which the screws go in. #6. Put it all back together.
This will fix both of the problems you are experiencing

Dude, super glue that little guy into it's spot so it won't come out when you unscrew the stock.
