As more and more of these get circulated and built questions flow at an ever increasing rate. Rather than answer all questions repeatedly I'll post responses and tutorials here to further explain the process and provide updates and best practices from assorted builders.
For example: There are several ways to attach the stock augmentation piece that comes with the kit. It's designed to contour quite nicely on the M14 stock however securing it snugly and permanently can be tackeled a number of ways
It can simply be pasted in to place with the resin paste provided. Once the resin is blended in underneath and along the side surfaces it probably would hold just fine. The kit suggests you drill a few small holes from the inside of the stock into the augmentation piece to further secure and indeed that works fine. Only a few screws are needed.
Another approach and probably the most secure is to drill a number of holes of assorted sizes into the prepared stock
I do an assortement of size holes and include drilling some small holes along the thin sidewalls of the mag well area.
You then apply a film of the resin paste and squeaze the augmentation piece over the stock with the resin paste oozing through the holes into the interior of the stock. You can then spread this around on the inside and use the paste that oozes out along the sides to further blend the augmentation piece into place. Once it hardens (several hours) the augmentation piece will be very firmly attached to your stock and no screws should be needed.
(A couple of finished rifles using the kit to complete.)
