Anyone think of something that might fit the bill? The funny shape of the reciever and, feeding from the right hand side might be a problem. I plan on using a drum mag.

You could look at still feeding from the bottom. This may be easier than building a custom hop-up. I think any donor gun would work with a gearbox has a fixed motor mount. I would look however at a design that has a seperate trigger. You may need an electronic trigger. Maybe look at using an M249 for the guts. Best way it to draw it up and take measurements to determine what would work best. For the build use the PVC method

That's pretty much what I was thinking, my other idea is running it on C02 but, that can be problematic . Here is a pic of how the build is going so far. I plan on having more done in a couple days (day off coming up). Attachments:

Ya, stay clear of Co2, especially if you are in cooler climates. The gun actually looks like an easy build if you go about it right. Maybe even an M14 would work as a base gun
