I know not too many people have Japanese impressions, but I would like to see what you guys have. I have been recently thinking about starting an IJA impression and need to know what I need. So, if you have a Japanese loadout, please post some pictures and a list of gear.
I would also like to know what websites you use to get your gear.

Don't forget to go to Nakata Shoten the next time you're in Japan! That place has a lot of great stuff. While visiting my grandma over the summer, i'm going to go there. ;D

go for the low boots the german one next to the jap repops look the same.. an the shirt im wearing in the pics is from target

actually personally I use....*gasp* Jedi boots. The reason is that it's a bit hard to find some decent brown boots and you can't notice it much after you dirty them up a bit.
I will admit though that a IJA kit is a bit more expensive than a German kit. The arisaka pouches alone cost way more than kar98k pouches. Plus only tanaka makes a Type 99, though you can jack a sten or thompson if you do early, mid-war.
You technically can get away with german low boots

It's Obi Wan's....well young obi wan though you can't tell the difference till you look closely at the back of them.
And yeah you could make a type 5.......though that's a super rare weapon.......just jack a thompson or sten if you'll doing early war.

You can also pull off US roughouts for lowboots or Japanese boots.
