Location: Mountain Top Field - Frazier Park, CADate: July 31, 2010. Special thanks goes out to Brave Sir Robin for his generous surrender of this date so that we could utilize it for this WWII squad level combat simulation. It’s a testament to his dedication to airsoft as a whole and the we greatly appreciate the gesture since he moved one of his own productions in order to let this happen. Event cost: $20.00 - Accepting PayPal once we have a special account set up for this event. Please check back for updates in regard to event payments. There will be no walk on enrollment as we MUST know who is attending before hand in order to plan the event. See registration rules below, please sign up if you intend on participating. If you sign up, show up. "No-shows" are not welcome to attend future events.Schedule:0800 - Gate opens. 0801-0859 - Chrono & Briefing. 0900-0929 - Deploy to starting positions. 0930-1059 - 1st Phase. 1100-1159 - 2nd Phase. 1200-1300 In-field lunch break. 1301-1329 Set up/deploy for 3rd Phase. 1330 - 3rd Phase start. 1600 - ENDEX Major game notes: There will not be any lunch served at this event, you will be asked to either bring period rations to eat during an on-field/in-place lunch break or return to the staging area to feast on whatever bounty you have stored in your vehicles. Please note there will be a small amount of blankfire weapons on the field that will be used by experienced reenactors and staff members of the game to add an additional element of atmosphere to the game. You may wish to bring ear protection if you are sensitive to loud sounds. This event is our attempt to get the ball rolling on more WWII-themed airsoft OPs/events in the SoCal area. While we respect the historical background of the period we are recreating, our goal is to capture the feel of squad level combat in WWII in a greater proportion than as a "living history" exercise. This should explain why we have chosen to simulate a fictional battle with an assortment of varied Units that is set into a greater actual historical backdrop. WE feel it best represents the proper flavor of the theatre of battle and the scenario needs we have while also paying a certain homage to the countless 'unofficial nicknamed' and unnamed roadways, hedgerows, ditches, hills, and patches of ground that soldiers from all nationalities fought and died for and by doing so have the exclusive rights to name. Therefore for the purposes of this skirmish event, the authenticity standards will be VERY basic and a VERY simple Italian partisan option will be available that just about anyone interested should be able to field for little cost and some minor effort. Were not asking a lot so we will expect a certain level of achievement in order to participate with those that have made the effort. If you can substantiate a WWII impression you will not be turned away (show up in modern gear or make little to no effort though and you will not be allowed to participate). For those with real period Allied or German impressions, tropicals/ HBT's for the Italian front are the principal uniform but any continental uniform/ impression will be accepted as well. The only thing NOT acceptable will be Eastern front or Pacific theatre impressions as those simply are not listed in the order of battle for this particular scenario. nor will any grossly non period attire be acceptable. Images of past events:Last Stand at Outpost Vitrolio Part I & IILast Stand at Outpost Vitrolio Part IIISign Up/Registration:To sign up for this scenario, please post your info ( FULL NAME, first and last followed by nickname and unit you are signing up for) below in the thread and you will be added to the rosters. PAYMENT: currently we are setting up a paypal acct just for this event, further details to follow This thread will be monitored regularly, so if you have any questions regarding the scenario, please post them below. GERMAN Mission statement.Summary: Desperate fighting in the passes of northern Italy's mountainous regions after the collapse of the German Gothic Line left many pockets of ad hoc German units to defend vital access to German rear lines and the Po Valley area. One by one the German pockets of resistance have gone under the combined weight of the well-organized and equipped Garibaldi Brigade partisans and the steady push of the ALLIED advance through the mountains. Resilient in the face of several local defeats, particularly the loss of the outpost at Vitirollio Pass, the German High command has moved to more drastic measures to stem the tide. A Kampfgruppe assigned the name Konrad has been patched together from every possible battle worthy fragment the Germans could muster from the small town of Frazerino, where an aid collection/staging area had been set up. Convinced that a shocking offensive move rather than another static defense would be key to blunting the Allied advance and scattering the partisan brigades was the right move, Commander Konrad set the wheels in motion. Utilizing a combined arms unit of SS Panzer Grenadiers, Fallschirmjägers, and Italian Pro-Fascist Militia, the Germans intended to launch an attack intent on stalling the Allied forces long enough for more substantial defensive lines to be established further north at key locations at the mouth of the Po Valley. Bolstered by anti tank gun companies and several well camouflaged assault guns, the Germans have effectively choked off the mountain pass road leading to Frazerino. German infantry forces are now jumping into action to hit the enemy while they are still reeling from the punishment its armored advance was dealt the day before. Their objective is to do as much damage as possible before falling back into a series of collapsing defensive positions. For Kampfgruppe Konrad the day is all about making every precious moment count... German ForcesPlease wear tropical mixed uniform if possible, however any German continental impression will be acceptable. Any German WWII era airsoft weapon such as the MP 44, StG 44, Kar98, MG 34 or MG 42 is good to go. Acceptable non-WWII era weapons for German players: AK-47's (sub for StG 44/MP 43/MP 44), any bolt action rifle* (sub for K98) and M-14 (sub for G43). Please burlap wrap your non-WWII era weapons to give them a more acceptable profile. Available roles for Kampfgruppe Konrad:German 4th Parachute Division 10th Fallschirmjäger Regiment:uniform examples : Example 01Example 02Example 03Example 0416th SS Panzergrenadier Division Reichsführer: Panzergrenadier Regiment 36:Other German units - Wehrmacht infantry, dismounted armored personnel, etc: Units TBD , based on sign ups Italian Pro Fascist Militia This will be an NPC force modifier unit and as such will be an all staff unit until participation can be determined. The impression will be similar to the Garibaldi partisan one with the major exception being Black shirts will be worn as a uniform item exclusively. ROSTER:

ALLIED forces-PARTISAN mission statement Summary: Jubilant over the defeat of the German garrison at Vitirollio Pass, Commissar Berligni Of the 28th Garibaldi Brigade is moving to capitalize on the momentum gained through the recent victory. Bolstered By U.S. armored elements, the Partisan and U.S. forces pushed ever onward along the mountain passes north of the Vitirollio Pass on towards the mountain town of Frazerino - the gateway to the Po Valley. Despite great enthusiasm from the partisan leader, the U.S. forces are more cautious in their advance, having learned many hard lessons from fighting other cornered German forces. The most recent set back from the otherwise lightning campaign occurred yesterday when lead elements of U.S. armored columns rolled right into the crosshairs of a German anti-tank company with a commanding position overlooking the mountain road pass. After a staggering loss of tanks on the roadway, the U.S. forces have changed up their tactical attitude and are now moving infantry units into the area to clean up the anti-tank positions as well as the numerous close combat anti-armor positions that dug in German infantry units have been using to combat the tanks at point blank range. The operation's success depends on the cooperation and re-supply of the 28th Garibaldi Brigade now positioned in direct opposition to the dug in Germans. Once re-supply and coordination is complete, they are confident the combined infantry /partisan assault can clear the way so the tanks can once again roll on Frazerino. What no one expected was an offensive stab by the Germans which promised to make the day a much harder one than was initially expected. Hard days however are what have forged the 28th Brigade and the lead infantry elements of the U.S. Command into a staunch fighting force that is more than ready to accept the German challenge... Allied ForcesPlease come in any U.S. (or British) impression from the Italian/continental theatre if you have a reasonably complete impression...if not do not be dismayed or feel you have no option, simply choose the civilian-garbed Garibaldi Brigades partisans role. It can be done very easily as the images will attest and your game play will function just as it will with any U.S. line unit due to the organized nature of the Garibaldi Brigades. Acceptable non-WWII era weapons: M-14 (sub for Garand/BAR), any bolt action rifle (sub for Enfields). There are a lot of cheap German period weapons available and can be used by Partisan units as well, such as the AGM MP40 and AGM MP44. British Sten guns. Burlap wrapped AK-47's (sub for StG 44/MP 43/MP 44). Available roles for Allied ForcesU.S. AIRBORNE: - appropriate impression required, actual unit designation TBD U.S. 2nd Ranger BN: - appropriate impression required, actual unit designation TBD Armored Infantry: - appropriate impression required, actual unit designation TBD Garibaldi Brigades partisans: Impression plates will be provided to help guide your impression acquisitions The following gallery has numerous period and staged Partisan Impression Plates.Italian PartisansUniforming basics:Baggy earth colored trousers, NO JEANS - think chino's, and lace-up simple boots. Loose fitting collared or uncollared long sleeve shirts, vests, and linen suit jackets make excellent tops. For scenario reasons, you may NOT wear black tops of any kind, shirt or jacket this is to accommodate the pro fascist Militia impression. Gear:Any captured German web gear, British web gear, or simple haversacks and leather belts. Headwear:Any form of Gatsby style cap [modern golf hats excepted, period fedora, beret or traditional Italian headgear (if the Robin Hood look suits you, FOR REAL feather and all). ROSTER:

That's a real decent number of players to confirm so soon after posting an event. California is the new hot spot for WW2 airsoft and with your population you guys may end up having some real big games. It took us quite a while in Wisconsin to regularly get those numbers. Guess we'll just have to keep plugging. Good luck with your event.

Thanx, yep I was a bit surprised as he'd only hit 24 before and are now clearing 30. were hitting up our reenacting units, and everyone and anyone that has even the start of an impression as our loaner gear set ups are extensive enough to set up half a dozen extra germans.
We're hopeful the growth continues and we can build an even bigger base. We're also hopeful for the washington program to come back to life through their new site so we can REALLY blow out a large west coast affair next year fro Jump to destiny etc etc

Here are some preview images of some of the attractions and set dressing you can expect to see at the event: road signs and mine markers: fully functioning Airsoft mg42, ask the 101st guys from Sacramento how well this 'lays the brush down'....... on the flip side the US Ranger BN isn't to be outgunned either.......... for those camping out, the US period camp will be hosting a period film [1939] on a 8 mm projector.... there are also 7 full sized hedgehog tank and vehicle obstructions that will be in place during game. They look pretty real from more than 5" we also have almost 1400' of really convincing looking barbed wire that will be strung up around the fighting positions as well as naturally dug in and wood-braced fighting positions through out the AO. There will be some blank-fire mixed into the units via game control personnel to enhance the feeling and certainly the sound of the small unit action. WE will have a 'faux' willys jeep and a non period painted Deuce and a half for transport convoy simulation [so at least less walking and something real to use the anti-tank weapons on] in the future we may be able to get fully authentic WWII vehicles and At guns, but currently at 20.00 for the game your getting your money's worth Impression base is looking to be very high and we have folks coming from all over california. IF you ever wanted to do wwII airsoft this is the event for you. please let us know if your one the fence and have impressions questions that we may be able to advice a fix or solution on that will get you into the game. Uf your interested simply respond within the thread with full name/ call sign and impression /side you wish to portray. Paypal for the 20.00 game fee or 5.00 camping fee can be sent to tomnoelgilliland@gmail.com THanx TG THE REGIMENT

Indeed, awesome day, no doubt the best airsoft event I've been too. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to be around guys dressed in period uniforms rather than random mismatched camo, M4's and MOLLE clad airsofters.
