Very nice job. What kind of bluing did you use for the non aluminum parts? I was going to blue one of my custom Kar98s, I had all the paint sanded off, took forever. The birchwood casey bluing didn't seem to work so I ended up painting it all

Thank you, I used the Perma Blue on all the main parts and Aluminum Black on the aluminum barrel. The metal is not magnetic so it seems to be some kind of low grade alloy metal, you might need to repeat the blueing process several times before it turns black or dark grey

If the metal is non metalic bevery careful using "Blueing" products. They can chemically react with the alloy and pit it very badly or even melt it completely

I have used the Perma Blue on my AGM MP44 and MP40 as well and the results where the same, no problems with melting but it does rust very easily so i use gun oil
