The only T-34 that I know of in Wi. is over near Oshkosh and Dean only plays at living history events and reenactments.

Zdra-stvu-eetee Boris!
I too would be very interested in attending a Russian Front airsoft event. I've been a WWII reenactor for many years and have now discovered airsoft and would really like to see a merge of the two ... for myself ... as I doubt the two hobbies would ever merge themselves ... too many young kids in airsoft and too many stubborn old men in reenacting … with not enough understanding on either side … ;D
Anyway, I’m in the process of buying an airsoft PPSh-41 and would very much like to put a Soviet Impression together.
As your event is at about the same time as Operation Irene (The Battle of Mogadishu), I doubt if I could get away two weekends in a row. There are a lot of "modern" airsoft "teams" in Ohio ... of which I am a memeber and must support team activities ... most of whom get their impressions (i.e. loadouts) from computer games ... just thought I'd throw that in ...
Please forward any information you have on future events so I can make advanced plans.
Also, any airsoft events at Ft. McCoy? I've attended several reenactments there as a memeber of the WWIIHRS.
Dasvidania,
Terry Cincinnati, Ohio

Terry, Our Midwest Ostfront Airsoft group had a good event at Ft.Mc Coy this past Aug. and if we get our way, we'll be playing there again. I also belong to HRS and will be at Rockford's Midway Village this weekend busting caps as they say. I am one of those old guys who started with re-enacting and now plays airsoft as well. I have a few welts from last weekends paintball "Wake Island" event.
Too few weekend days and too many work days! I host 2 Russian Front airsoft events per year, Apil and Oct. Troy a.k.a. Boris

I know it's a few days off but the weather looks excellent and we are due in my opinion.
The Germans will debut a new improved MG42. Video and more explanation on Thursday night. I have it ready now but no camera person to shoot it (the video of course - as I will be demonstrating the proper shooting procedure.) Ha-ha. Sweet load-out. ;D "This time for sure I'm gonna pull a rabbit outta my hat."
The other surprise is a new HE round for the Pak 38. The gun crew won't be so defenseless against infantry any longer. Still gonna be an easy mark for mortar fire but that's as it should be.

Oh my... Have I jinxed the weather? Looks like rain now. Arghhhh! This just separates the men from the boys. Real soldiers don't get to pick their weather. Here is a pic of the MG-42 sporting the new AA tripod. It is the way to go. It allows much nicer field of fire. Those Lafayette mounts are not suited for airsoft but these AA mounts are great. The upgrades include dual power from parallel mounted 9.6V batteries giving 3000 mah of draw which makes all the difference surprisingly. A rewire of the entire gun also was performed with 14-gauge wire. 16 too in a couple of spots. Here is what she shoots like now. s125.photobucket.com/albums/p42/Miker_10/MG42%20Movies/?action=view¤t=M4V00196.mp4See you all tomorrow.
