So, we had a ww2 battle today and I lost my 98K front sight (the whole thing, tanaka owners know what I am talking about). Where could I get one? Chinese/Japanese/US/allover shops work for me, just want to know that the shop is trust worthy.
Also, does anyone know if the front sight of D-boys fit to the Tanaka model?
Thanks in advande!

I just checked my Dboys 98k and the front sight is pretty cheesy. Looks like you'd destroy it trying to get it off. It doesn't have a mold seam so it looks like a seperate assy but still looks iffy to remove. If the Tanaka gun is fairly true to spec you may just try locating an authentic front sight.

Thanks, so I need to limit that option. Still have not found any retailers who would sell the front sight. Hopely someone on this forum has found a front sight for his rifle?
And for my knowledge, the whole front sight of reald deal 98k is not even removable? Or is it? : D

The front sight part is detachable on the Dboys Kar98 and on a real Kar98. Your best bet is to buy a real one. I just checked my Dboys 98k and the front sight is pretty cheesy. If the Tanaka gun is fairly true to spec you may just try locating an authentic front sight. Cheesy, why? Its held in with a screw and is easily detachable. It would probably work on a tanaka if you can find one.
