Hey yall, I got a new stock for my real M1 to replace the wood imitation plastic stock. I was wondering if I could possibly use my plastic stock it for a conversion. Instead of two small holes for cleaning supplies in the back, it has one large hole that can easily fit a 9.6 battery in it.

Frankly the composition stock is going to be even harder to hollow out than the wood is. Like the wood stock you're going to run in a plethora of issues with regard to overall demensions and shape discrepencies.
When you're done you'll end up with a composition stock. Hmmmmmmm I'd say sell the composition stock. You won't get much for it but it beats having it just lay around.
