Ok so I've planned on getting one for awhile and noticed on several sites they show them with actual wartime markings ie. the Walther code 'ac' with the year '41'. so I'm thinking cool, complete with waffenampts too!
So to be sure that is what I'd be getting and not the standard Walther banner example, I both called and emailed. Was assured, by Pyramydair in this case, all items they carry are just as pictured. The gal seemed insulted I'd even ask such a question. So I ordered one as they have the best deal going.
Came in the mail today, not an ac41 but naturally the Walther banner version. Not what I wanted! My question is, does anyone here have one of these or has anyone actually seen an ac41 marked example?
They're fine guns and all but I'm in it on this one for the historical accuracy of the thing, ie. markings!
Update: Heard back from Pyramyd and they're changing their pic on the website, the ac41 is a detail they never picked up on. Apparantly the ac41 marked guns is a pre-Umarex Walther licensed kinda thing. I suppose a straight up Maruzen pre-Umarex involvement version exists somewhere. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

No, but is the pyramid air one plastic or full metal? If it's plastic do you(or anyone else) know what company makes a full metal version? My brother really wants one and neither him or I can seem to track one down.

My guess is you're correct nambulmg. I actually have a pre Umarex Maruzen P38, and while it is ABS, it does have the correct markings...
