Just got my KA thompson today, and I have to say, it is pretty awesome.
I am however, a little upset with the trades. I may actually just find a way to completely remove them. I'm not really sure yet.

Just take some steel wool and go at it. Repainting is also pretty easy.

And it will also lighten up the color to a more shiny grey witch looks nice. Use the Fine steel wool.

I don't know the exact color as I don't have one. The CYMA Thompson I have is more flat black. Mixed colors isn't unrealistic though. Not all the parts were from the same factory as a lot of stuff got reissued and mixed up. Get the closest thing you can find at a hardware store.
Otherwise you can just use some fine steel wool if you don't want to repaint it.

Wouldn't the steel wool damage the receiver? Scratch it up and stuff?

The worst steel wool would do is take off the paint. Especially fine steel wool. Just don't go too hard on it and you should be able to take it off without hurting the paint.

btw, do the mags fit the TM thompson? and are there any midcap mags? Any of the thompson magazines work with all of them because they are all clones of Tokyo marui

cheers, and one more question, they are metal right? (the mags) Most of the high caps are metal but the mid caps are plastic
