I just got a version 2 Sten from a friend, it came with the 8.4 stick battery(as soon as he gets the battery to me that is). I hear it is tough to put into the stock and really just a pain in general. I know the first version Sten had the 7.4 Lipo, could I still put the Lipo in the version 2?
Also can I use the 7.4 lipo in my MP40?

Yes on the Sten question. Not positive on the MP40 one but it might fit in there.

Well thank you both very kindly... now to get the lipo batteries and a good charger/balancer and I'll be good.

Just make sure the gun can handle a lipo internally. In some guns the internals are wank so a lipo will turn them to dust. Just a word of advice.

That is the main reason I'm sticking to the 7.4 and not going push anything too much. Mostly I tried to put one of the 8.4 sticks I had laying around and it was hard to get in the stock(for the sten), and even worse trying to get it back out. As for the MP40 I have two so I'll try the lipo in one and see what happens. If it needs rebuilt after then I'll know not to use the lipo on the other one.
