Hey guys, so, most of you know many years ago, I discovered the blowback mod for the AGM MP-40. As time progressed, I phased out of airsoft, and into blank-fire, and living history. I needed a good display weapon, that was German. So, I decided whats better, than the MP-40 I already own? Well, the flat black paint just wouldn't do, and I needed to add some realism to it. Like adding a spring where the battery goes, just like the real recoil spring, and so on. So, about 4 months ago, I stripped her down, and gave it a nice "well used" blued finish, and lathered it in bearing grease. I have noticed all the nice jobs everyone has been doing with their MPs so, I figured I would show you guys mine as well... Let me know what you guys think...

Looks simply amazing! Airsoft weapons make great display weapons with a bit of work. About the grease doesn't it make the MP40 messy to handle?

Yes, haha, its a sticky situation. Its not too bad, I put a blob of it in my hands, and rubbed down the whole gun, then wiped it down with a shop rag. It doesn't have chunks of grease on it, its just greasy. Which gives it a good look, and will keep it from rusting. And civilians from handling it. haha

I'm a artist, so I have tons of white paper around. and I happened to have a large piece of two ply paper. (about 1/16" thick) I just put it flat on my floor, and took the photos!

I guess I'll look into buying some large sheets of paper then. Again very nice job!

make sure its thick enough, otherwise you will get shadows from ripples/dips in the paper.
