Hi all,
I've been skirmishing in WWII garb for a bit now, but I have rarely worn my M1 helmet because the helmet will not sit right while wearing ESS goggles.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what low-profile goggles are you using to avoid it?
Any suggestions?

I like the wire mesh face protector looks like a human face perhaps with a little paint it would do well for my purposes.

What you do you think of the ESS Advancer V12 SR Goggles that you recommended? I like them because they are the lowest profile goggles I've ever owned. I also treat them with Fog-Tech to help fight fogging ... it works more often than not. I have removed the foam from around the edges to help with air flow and have the lenses extended open as far as possible. I have also purchased the tinted lenses for them and really like them on sunny days. Please let me know if you have a specific question about them. Thanks, WhiteRook

I'm very interested in them. Looks like they could cut down on the fogging issue. From what I can tell it looks like the lens extend out to let air around them, when they start to fog up. Does that work well, in conjunction with the anti-fog? While the lens is extended out, is there enough space to let a bb in? The opening is not large enough for a 6mm bb. You are right about how they work; I keep them open all the time for good airflow. I add some Fog-Tech also. When I don't use it, I get occasional fogging. As for the ESS Turbofan Profiles ... I have a few buddies that own them ($150). They are great and they due fit under an M-1 ... but I like the small profile of the Advancers.
