The local retailer here in the Philippines ordered around 10 rifles with the new steel hammers direct from G&G.

I am considering picking one up, and modifying it to external air. Drill and tap an adapter into a spent 8gram CO2 unit, and hook up an external (paintball) hose to a larger CO2 tank.
That way, I essentially have one magazine, and just reload it via the "stripper" clips which you can pick up directly from G&G for cheap.
This will give me far more consistency in FPS, and far more easy to regulate hopefully.
Modifying the magazine will be the tricky part, but I imagine very do-able with time and patience.

The 8-grams load horizontally in the magazines, and the BB holder covers where it goes in. You would have to drill through the bottom of the magazine to run an external line.
I got mine last Thursday from Airsoft GI. I will do a write up when I get time.

Yup, that's what I was thinking.
Load in the spent casing, drill straight through the mag until I hit it, and then I know where everything is going to line up.
Should have everything squared away in ~2 weeks time, and then I'll see about purchasing the actual rifle if I am to follow through.
Looking forward to your write up!

If any of you have anything you would like me to touch in the write up, feel free to list them.
