I got actually got a hold of one of the polycarbonate ones, very nice indeed and a steal at $20. From looking at them you cannot tell they are not plastic. They are solid black so no need to worry about then fraying and showing some ugly orange underneath.
I think anyone that has an MP44 should get one of these as they are far superior than the stock orange MP40 muzzle nuts they ship with and the Poly is rock solid, a lot harder than the soft plastic that ship with the MP44's.
I will bring mine with me to Days of Days in case anyone wants to see and feel one.
