So I thought of a scenario for a ww2 eastern front game. I was thinking we get a few wodden boats and go to lake Cumberland then spend a couple 100 dollars each to purchase some wood bricks and metal and make some buildings then get in the boats and land on the other side taking fire the whole way across. Then when you get across the lake you get in the trenches while pyrothechnics are going off tossing rubble everywhere. Finally after going through all that you go on a suicidal charge down the center of the ridiculous attempt at Stalingrad with no retreats. And then you just let the battle play out from there... So tell me what you think

This doesn't seem like a very mature way of going about something. Which is understandable since you are 15. I'd let adults produce the games and concentrate on your impression at this point. When you are older you can produce games, but right now I don't think you are really ready to do that.

Not so much that. However the logisitics for trying to run a game on a lake and such also safety with a lake crossing is a little much for you to probably handle. Work on your impression and getting to as many games as you can right now and when you are older you will have a better chance of pulling off a game of this sort.

Well CN that sounds like a fun idea to me. The only problem I find is getting enough people and constructing the buildings. Just because one is a kid doesn't mean that the idea is stupid and I myself am a kid and hate when I am belittled because of my age. I'm writing a story about some Russians in Stalingrad that I hope to turn into a movie one day, so this sounds very fun. I seeyour points on safety and realism but never doubt anyone because of their age. I'm just saying, no offense to you I just wanted to make that clear.

Please point to where I mentioned him having a stupid idea? Or for that matter belittled him because of his age? I was simply trying to inject some reality in to the plan. We were all 15 at one time and I personally remember having awesome plans for this and that. As an adult you can look on something like this with more experience and say that sounds awesome but is not very probably to make happen even for adults. That is all. It sounds great I just think perhaps it is a bit much to get done as he describes. Please feel free to prove me wrong and have a great game. I certainly would wish you or him much luck in you endevour.

You took it the wrong way CN. I didn't say you called his idea stupid or belittled him I was just saying that he had a good basic idea and everyones ideas should be treated with respect. My apologies to you for most likely misunderstanding your post and possibly offending you.

No apology needed I wasn't offended like I said I remember what it was like as a youngster to have these cool ideas and want to bring them to happen.

Yeah I wish that could happen but the only people that could pull something like that off is hollywood. Just your basic urban combat would work though, if your local paintball/airsoft field approves and has a town in one of it's fields. I saw a thread earlier this month about someone on this site doing that with their group.

Yep keep it simple for your first events. Its hard to even pull small events off, especially when your 16. ;D
