So after watching the pacific I want a Marine imprssion(yes I know just like the million of airborne that got that way becasue of Bob, or the millions or rangers becasue of SPR)
But there is a few big problems.
1, I want a BAR, doing airborne mean I don't really need a BAR, but marines let me use it. but it cost the same as car. 2. There are no sandy beaches in norway, no jungles and nobody is doing japanese impressions 3. the uniform is half the price of the gun, but still alot. 4. I also want a vietnam impression, and it would be much more usefull

'Nam events really lend themselves to airsoft, as jungle firefights and ambushes were usually at close range. These types of scenarios are more suited for the airsoft weapons ranges. A lot of fun!!

Wait... Didnt I read this week that Norway was one of the happiest countries in the world? Do you guys play "Happy" Airsoft scenarios? We do Namsoft and I have to say, its pretty fun.... I guess if you wanted to do Pacific in Norway you could do the Aleutian Islands campaign )

Yes, we play happy Airsoft, were we are all dressed as the Care Bears(not a furry refrence) and we shoot rainbows at each other(not a gay refrence)
But seriously we have a healthy suply of Americans, Brtish and some norwegian commadnoes/resistance, aswell as lots and lots of germans, but no japanese and no marines(that I know of)
We also have lots of nam peole, even VC and NVA

Haha we have one kid named Thor who's white as snow who wants a straw hat. You know I really love Virginia in the summer because it's like perpetually 100+ degrees and 95% humidity but its as cold as Michigan in the winter. Anyway, that's really surprising there's such an interest in 'Nam over in Norway, but none the less it's pretty sweet. If your looking for advice on 'Nam gear and stuff go to www.mooremilitaria.comIt's kinda expensive, but it has it's good deals. The one thing I've learned about Nam stuff is always try to get the older of the two. Stick with '56 gear and OD green because I'm getting tired of seeing kids in "vintage" (Bullapplesauce ) tiger stripes and saying there green berets. Depending on what point of the war, choose your uniform. Like if you were to do a 1/7th air cav tribute pick up 107G's but if you do anything past '68 get 2nd or 3rd pattern poplin. As far as units go, spice it up a bit and do a 4th or 23rd infantry impression, I dunno something other than air cav or tropic thunder. I'm picking up an 11th armored patch or 173rd airborne to take the place of this junk LRRP patch. Boots are important too, make sure you get the 4th type(2nd jungle pattern) with the vibram souls and pungi stick protective plate and if you can't find those get the 5th type(3rd pattern jungle) with the Panama mud-traction souls and ankle stitch. The ankle stitch is VERY important to the panama souls because it identifies them as Wartime boots. Personal items are also important with the impression, little things like the GI issued towel and a c-ration 4 pack of class A cigarettes can be the only thing an everyday casual airsofter can distinguish your impression from a WW2 impression(I swear, personal experiences) Than with your gun, get an era icon like the pig(M60) or M16. The M14 and AK-47 also work but for specific impressions mainly special forces of some kind. Sorry if that was like one of those "I think everyone knows that" moments and a majority of that stuff I learned from 2ndbat and Alder. If I got something wrong though, that's 100% me. Either way just thought Id throw that out there, its raining outside and I need something to occupy my time.
