Well i havent beenon here in a while but here I am again...My DBoy K98 took a giant dump (like that never happens) and i have an old but very serviceable M14 so I am thinking of building a G41 Walther production. Out of all of you gentleman's experience what is the best epoxy to use for bonding wood to plastic (if their is one)? And i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to fabricate the receiver. Thank you.

Which G41 are you thinging about? The G41(M) or the G41(W)? Both were used during WWII. When the Germans invaded Russia, the Russians were shooting at them with their semi-auto SVT40s. Germany decided they needed a semi-auto rifle for their troops. The Wermacht went to the Mauser Company and the Walther Company and told each to develope a semi-auto rifle. Each made about 5,000 of their partucular model rifle and shipped them to the Russian front for combat testing. The Mauser rifle was shown to be not as good as the Walther rifle so no more G41(M)s were made. When they went into production the designation was changed from the G41(W) to just G41.
I would think that binding plastic parts to a wooden stock is not a good idea as parts wear-out or break and will need replacing. If they are epoxied in place, they are just that harder to fix.

To BigBoy, I am building a Walther variant as they were used more than the Mauser variant and as for the wood to plastic bonding v.s field stripping, the receiver and action is metal and removable, the plastic to wood is for the stock and simulating the bakelite top cover...to jimmiroquai thanks for the link its really helpful, but it doesnt look like the guy made the Bang gas system and a few other details that i am putting in, but its definetly a help, i appreciate it
