So i have posed the possibility of an M1 carbine here before and acknowledge all of the difficulties. However I have one question that I think may make this dream more plausible.
I have never had my hands on a real m1 and therefore have no way to judge its size, but i here it is small. So i was thinking of small mechboxes and came up with this... Do you think that an AGM sten mechbox would fit in the stock of an m1 carbine?
it seems less tall than a mp 40 mechbox but i have no way to judge width.
thanks

The AGM Sten gearbox is a version 7 gearbox with a different motor mount. Unfortunately, just like the M14 gearbox (version 7), it will still be too tall for the M1 carbine receiver.
