Is it possible to swap out any of the stock M1a1 pot metal, etc. parts for USGI ones without too much surgery? Perhaps the sling swivels, fore stock, etc?
Thanks m1thum

Those parts you mentioned, are we talking a simple swap out or is there some alteration required to either the gun or parts?
I imagine that installing a Cutts will require other labor intensive efforts since that's an M1928 detail, no?
Thanks

The stock parts, if you want to trade out for wood, I'd recommend just buying a wood kit. It's basically the same and you can destress it to your liking. I got a sling for mine, and the wood kit. I think a real steel rear sight would better replace the half ass plastic 'adjustable' one they give you with the gun.
