My Marushin GBB M1 Carbine, since I haven't shot the gun in a few weeks and have replaced the bolt for a steel one, has terrible gas consumption and I can swear it's just not making a seal or retaining gas in the piston. Any help on how to get a better seal? I've tried lubing and replacing O-rings with little luck Is there any gasket maker or anything I could place somewhere? There is obviously a place where the gas is leaking out when it's fired. The magazine is fine though.

I guess we're both having trouble with the bolt. I am 90% that the old bolt was made of aluminum(Which caused it to crack) But it was a lighter metal and even the weaker gasses were able to push it back. Steel is alot harder for the gas to push back, which may cause the bolt not to fully return or your gas leaking out of the open bolt before the tab in the magazine gas resevoir can return. I noticed when I was able to get 134a gas, the bolt was too heavy to be pushed completely back, and I needed modifications to it since it originaly wasn't meant for it and would leak alot . I have the original and not the SI modified one, so mine had plently of trouble with gas leaks. If you are using 22a gas already and the problem is the magazine itself/ have the SI version with the steal bolt then whatever I just said is pretty much useless

Mine is the SI with the steel bolt in it. It doesn't seem too much heavier. at first I thought it was just the rough paint on it, and it does cause some friction, but not enough to be waisting gas as much as it is. I have no idea what's going on and I'm usually pretty well trained with gas guns.

Never mind. It was a magazine problem. It's fixed now.
