I've heard the UTG MK96 is much better then the TM VSR-10 and the JG BAR-10. Does anyone know if the internals will fit in a Kar98 stock?

If it is an APS2 knock off like I think it is it should fit just dandy in a K98 stock.

As a side note an actual APS2 was my first sniper rifle and I loved it. I found it to be a better base than VSR's myself and the mag realese worked very well I thought.

Interesting debate. But still, for the 98K conversions, I think the VSR-10 still looks much more like a real steel version in the receiver department. Making the UTG look good would require some new methods.
I found a side topic in that attached forum interesting on the TM VSR-10's. I have one of those lower quality ones right now. The hop up chamber is missing a required screw and not tapped for threads and the barrel went to aluminum. Cost costing on construction but no lower price. Now a J-Bar really looks like a deal.

Yea I can see the UTG will take more work to look right. I think with some heavy modding the receiver would look good. I'll give it a try and see if its worth the effort. The BAR-10 is certainly the easier rifle for conversions though. Interesting note of the TM VSR-10 though.
The only thing that I dislike about the UTG MK96 is the plastic trigger housing. They make a metal replacement one but they should just make the stock ones metal in the first place. Anyways I'll see how it goes next rifle I make.
