Um besides the rear sight being put on not much I was going to put the bolt forward and cut out the top of the receiver like on the real one but then I might ruin the rifle and I don't want to take the risk also the problem of the locking mechanism on the rifle the bolt has to turn from the rear. It will help a lot when the mosin mag and trigger guard are on as well.

A screw might work best for securing the bolt handle on.

have you considered a blind hole through the back of the bolt handle ring through the bolt handle and then inserting a tension spring? Should hold pretty well.

Ya that should work but im gonna try my luck at braising it first with some brass

the hole and pin would just be an added thing then. I took a slightly different approach but it was a whole lot of work.

I would just drill a hole in the bolt handle and a whole in the bolt ring. Then tap the hole and put a headless screw in. I am not sure how the tension spring idea would work, though CharleyNovember is more experienced with this stuff then myself.

Wow....looks like that took some work, any idea what the price is? I'd like a mosin, or a k98, but, this might pull me to the mosin. Great job.

A suggestion: When doing dremel work on a real wood stock. Place several layers of masking tape outlining where you intend to do your cuts. In addition to serving as a "guide" the tape will also protect the wood areas you don't intend to cut from the inevitable gouges.

You mag is probably not seating up high enough in the well. Either an obstruction in the magwell not letting you push it all the way in or the mag catch is letting it slip down. Press on the mag as you cock it so it sticks up in there real good. See if that does the trick if so it is your mag catch you can fill in the notch with bondo on your mag and then file a new notch for the catch to catch on a little lower on the mag which will in turn make it sit higher. I've done a few of these...lol

Ya that was one of my first thoughts was to use JB weld and fill in some of the notch so the mag had to go lower before it clicked. But then all the sudden it worked for about 3 shots then same thing happened. Also I noticed when I pull the mag out the bb falls out so that must mean the slide is opening up and letting the bb out . Maybe its that the chamber is not lined up all the way or maybe it moves and the bb misses the chamber.

I've seen that before where you put the mag in it shoots a couple shots then the action of cocking it vibrates the mag just a little and it slips down enough to partially occllude the opening thus you would still have a couple bb's sitting up in there waiting to fall out. Just takes a little patience working with it. I like your bolt handle.

Ok so its not an unknown problem, Ill do like you said and just keep working with it. And thanks, I have the luxury of a lathe and a mill to make some pretty sweet aluminum and steel parts. Just need to touch up on my wood working skills as im sure many of you can see

I have a mini mill that I used to use more than I do now. Now I weld parts and hand work stuff more than I mill. Never got around to getting a lathe as I don't have as much of a need as I used to for one.

Charlie, I too dabble in 3D art online. I built all of ancient Rome from the Forum out to and including the Colosseum. At present I have a galaxy that is laid out in the form of an island and have portions of a town on it. I had thought to do some war games in there but the major drawback is that a few will learn how to "kill" and eventually they are the only ones left. Still, it was a lot of fun to do. You can build anthing from the Taj Mahal to a space ship.
