Summer Project: Vickers Gun

It seems that my previous conversion is going to be beyond my budget for the summer. Now I was thinking about it for a few hours and decided that making a "water-cooled" machine gun would be less costly than what I wanted to do with a Marushin carbine. I have decided to try a Vickers Gun and later on down the road try different guns of the same design. I have a few questions:

1. I need the dimensions of the receiver, barrel, and water jacket?
2. What gearbox works the best for said dimensions?
3. How do I manage to operate the trigger from the back of the receiver(i.e. the trigger is 2 tabs that have to be pushed down)?
4. What material is cheap, but strong?
5. Do I have to use an ammo box for a mag or is there some way to make a mag well for a regular AEG mag?
6. Would a P90 gearbox fit, thus forcing the operator to open the top cover to change a mag(making it more realistic)?
7. What would I make the tripod out of?(I want it light enough for me to carry by myself)
8. What fps. and rpm. should I be looking to get? I think 375fps with a decent rpm with a 9.6v is good.

3. You could do is mechanically with a thin metal rod or move the trigger and extend the wiring electrically
4. Plastic is easy to work with but very brittle so if it breaks you need a whole new piece. Aluminum is a harder to work with but it is very strong and pretty light too. I'd go with aluminum if you have the tools.
5. I'd recommend modifying an M249 box mag internals to fit into an ammo can and have a feeding tube running from that to the gun. And you could have the feeding tube covered by a link of dummy or inert rounds making it look more realistic.
6. Maybe P90 GB's are tall you'd have to check the dimensions.
7. I don't think you'll be able to carry it with any sort of tripod . It was designed to be operated by three men and at least had two.
8. FPS depends on the field and an 8.4 would give it a more realist ROF but if you installed a mosfet you could have the ROF adjustable and run a 9.6 or a lipo.

The dimensions can be found on the net, as said before.
There's at least 3 usable gearboxes, M249 gb, P90 gb or MP40 gb upside down. The RPM in the real thing is around 600, right?
Find some lazy motor and try that.
