Just a quick question; if soliders wanted to make a 4 man zelt tent would they use different zelts, for exmaple would someone use a ss zelt and a splinter zelt and anyother zelt or would they use all the same zelt patterns.

I have three tan french ones you can buy right now put it with the one you have and voila...lol

Technically you'd use four (or three)of either army or ss type... the only feasable reason i can see for mixing types would be guys thrown together as either POWs or stragglers.

The point of a zelt tent for 4 men is that it allows two men to sleep while one cooks or does amin and the fourth can be a sentry... you're not all supposed to sleep in it at once.

Except that they are solid tan. They button right up to german ones.

To clairfy, mixing ss patterns isnt an issue (other than with regards to historical anachronism like using late war pattern for a 1939 scenario) as the SS didnt differentiate between designs... it was just a camo zelt....

Heer on the other hand just had the one type and unless the SS were issued heer one to make up a shortfall in supply you're unlikely to see them mixed up.

You do see rare examples of heer lads wearing SS patterns and vice versa but it's *very very * rare.

I you're doing it on your own btw you can make a 3 sided zelt shelter to save buying four.

At one event we had a 'zelt palace' made out of about 30 off them and big enough to stand up in!

Half tens are so much cheaper .
