Hello everyone, its been a while since I posted anything but now is the time to show a new project I have been wanting to do.
Also please bare with me I have a new camera and have no clue how it works lol and I am new to posting pics using photo bucket so I am doing some trial and error.
What this is is both a mini review of the king arms metal lower receiver and also me taking my 1928 thompson to new limits.
Both thompsons are cyma brand thompsons.
First with the review. The king arms thompson metal lower. I saw these on un company and bought 2 of them. One for my m1a1 thompson and one for my 1928. I really didn't have that many fitment issues. The only problem I would say is note worthy is when installing the safety and selector switches, the body isn't very tight against the gearbox and when the switches are installed have some play. Another small issue is where the motor wires come up through the body, I had to take a file and take some material off the receiver so the wires didn't get crushed. Not a big deal for me. The last fitment issue is the grip, you have a shave a little off the edges so the sides don't stick out. Overall I say the look good, build quality is good and its nice to finally have some full metal thompsons.
This m1a1 does have a wood stock and fore grip.
Now on to my next project. I decided to try and mod the other king arms lower so I could have a removable butt stock. Heres what it looks like.
The wires stocking out of the receiver and the trigger and motor wires because I am running a chetta mosfet. I also have plans to make a small attachment to slide on the the stock but to be a small battery bag so I can run the gun with no stock. That's to come later
That's the real steel stock with the slide assembly.
That's the front of the stock that I had to hollow out for the deans connectors to fit.
That's All I have for now If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
